The Honourable Justice McDonald, Head of Industrial Relations and Employment Law List of the Supreme Court

The Honourable Justice Michael McDonald QC was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2014, following 25 years’ experience specialising in administrative law, employment law, industrial law and discrimination law.
Justice McDonald completed a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne in 1991, having previously completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws in 1984. He was admitted to practice in 1985 and signed the Bar Roll in 1989.
He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2005 before becoming a Queen’s Counsel in 2014.
